    Scalefusion for macOS

We are immensely excited to announce that Scalefusion will extend support for macOS management! The last few months have been crazy-busy for us due to the rebranding activities, but we have proudly added another feather in our cap.

Lately, Mac machines are witnessing a surge in popularity that has led to their growing demand in enterprises apart from educational institutes, where the macOS devices are being used for varied use cases. Hence, organizations are experiencing a need to manage their Mac devices to ensure maximum user productivity with optimum security while retaining the user experience, and this is where Scalefusion plays a crucial role with its macOS management capability.

We aim to simplify and streamline macOS management for you

To begin with, Scalefusion makes it pretty easy for the enterprise IT admins to automate the setup of Mac machines while deploying necessary policies and applications in accordance with the corporate policies. If you have an Apple Business Manager account and you are a part of Apple’s Volume Purchase Program and Device Enrollment Program, then some optional configuration steps will allow you to leverage the management features like:

    • Distribution of apps from the Apple app store to managed Mac devices
    • Streamline and automate device management and onboarding process

    Get started with easy enrollment

It aims at mitigating the IT efforts to manage macOS devices without compromising on the user experience and device enrollment includes just a few simple steps. macOS devices can be seamlessly enrolled on Scalefusion using URL based enrollment. We also support Apple DEP and Zero-Touch enrollment using Apple Business Manager, which ensures that company policies and regulations are applied before reaching the users.

    Seamless Application Management

IT admins can search and distribute macOS applications from the Apple App Store to the managed macOS devices. Scalefusion supports the Apple Volume Purchase Program for deploying apps to managed devices. VPP allows the IT admins to find, purchase and distribute apps in bulk and then install them into the Mac devices.

    Enhanced settings with powerful features

IT admins can easily manage macOS devices by applying a comprehensive set of security and device control settings. Salefusion macOS management offerings will help the IT admin to

    • Configure and push WiFi network setting
    • Enforce passcode policies
    • Configure sharing settings
    • Enable or disable third party preference panes
    • Customizable branding options
    • Delay OS/software updates for up to 30 days
    • Configure content filtering
    • Restrict app use by allowing only admin approved apps on the device
    • Control access to iTunes,iCloud and Game center on the managed devices
    • Track managed devices through IP based location tracking

    Set Restrictions on Usage

The IT admin can select for how long the device can be used on weekdays and weekends. Admins can further configure the curfews by restricting access during a particular time frame.

    Configure Security & Privacy

In an added layer of privacy and security, Scalefusion gives the ability to configure a firewall as well as Gatekeeper settings. Admins can control app downloads on the device from the Mac app store as well as from identified developers.

    Control Media Settings

Scalefusion provides media restrictions to further lessen the threats of malware and other attacks from external media. This allows the admins to restrict access to hard disk media, CD-ROM, DVDs. They can also control media sharing done through iTunes and Airdrop.

    Remote Device Locking

The ‘Remote device locking’ feature allows the IT admin to lock the device remotely from the dashboard with a protective PIN. The device data and settings can be recovered by hitting the PIN, which is only available on the dashboard. The IT admin can Reboot and Shutdown the device from the dashboard.
