What’s New: Scalefusion’s New Feature Updates for Q1-2023

Listening to our customers and addressing their needs consistently is at the heart of Scalefusion. 2023 is rolling thick and fast, we are well past the first quarter. We, at Scalefusion, have kept up the pace and are excited to bring to you some of the key features that mark Q1-2023 for us.

Scalefusion’s endeavor has always been to simplify device management. It’s the trust IT admins put in Scalefusion that gets us going. At the beginning of the year, we released critical updates, including Linux device management, third-party application patch management for Windows and AirThjink AI- Scalefusion’s very-own IT Wingman powered by ChatGPT

But that’s not all! In case you missed, here’s the round-up of a few prominent features that we launched in the first quarter of 2023; we’re sure you will love them as much as we do.

Scalefusion updates

1. SIM Binding

This new Android feature allows IT admins to bind SIM cards to a device or bind a device to a SIM card.

SIM Lock

IT admins can now set a SIM PIN to bind the SIM to a device on Samsung Knox devices. The user will be prompted to enter this PIN whenever they try to use this SIM on another device.

SIM-Device Binding

This binds a particular device to a specific SIM, blocking the device if the user removes the SIM from it.

2. Shared Company-Owned Devices

We are extending user-based enrollment, which enables device-sharing of company-owned Android devices. This provides each employee with ‘sign-in’ and ‘sign-out’ options for an Android device. The device profile/policy gets updated based on the user who signs in.

3. Near Real Time Location Tracking for Windows

Location tracking is a quintessential feature to monitor and secure devices and their data and keep a tab on employees’ whereabouts when they are on the field. Location tracking is a must-have feature for businesses operating in fleet management, logistics, delivery services and e-commerce.

This feature was available for managed Android, iOS and Mac devices, while for Windows devices, IP-based location tracking was available earlier. With this update, IT admins can now track their on-field Windows devices with near real-time location tracking with accuracy using Scalefusion MDM. This is a valuable feature for businesses that deploy a large Windows device fleet on the field.

There’s more to come…

This was just the Q1-2023 round-up at Scalefusion. We’re determined to introduce plenty more during the months ahead as getting better never stops for us—consistently so! Stay tuned and watch our space closely as we continue addressing IT admin challenges and streamlining endpoint management.

We would love for you to give these features a try and share valuable insights or feedback about how it works (or doesn’t) for you!
