All Scalefusion applications have been tested extensively on iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS 26. Updates have been applied to guarantee smooth functionality, ensuring enterprises experience uninterrupted device and policy management.

- Allow live voicemail – Manage access to live voicemail.

- Allow Safari private browsing – Restrict or allow private browsing in Safari.
iOS/iPadOS 26
Additional restrictions include:
- App exception list for camera use – Specify apps exempt from the “Allow camera” restriction.
- Allow live voicemail – Manage use of live voicemail.
- Allow Safari history clearing – Decide whether users can clear Safari history.
- Allow Safari private browsing – Configure access to Safari’s private browsing.
- Denied ICCIDs for iMessage & FaceTime – Prevent use of defined networks for iMessage and FaceTime.
- Denied ICCIDs for RCS – Block use of specific networks for RCS messaging.
These new settings allow precise management of privacy, compliance, and productivity across enterprise devices.
DDM-based OS update management
With macOS 26, Apple has shifted OS update configurations from traditional MDM to the declarative device management (DDM) channel. Scalefusion now supports this new framework, ensuring policy enforcement keeps pace with Apple’s latest direction.
Deprecated settings (macOS 26):
- Prerelease software
- Check for updates
- Install app updates from App Store
- Install configuration data
Newly supported settings:
- Allow all notifications – Configure whether all notifications or only time-sensitive ones are displayed.
- Allow rapid security response installation – Permit or enforce RSS updates.
- Allow rapid security response rollback – Decide whether rollback of installed RSS updates is allowed.
This transition to DDM ensures greater consistency for IT teams managing Apple devices.
Updates to Apple patch management*
Apple has modernized its patching framework, and Scalefusion now fully supports the new approach:
- Apple Lookup API – Enables querying of OS updates for macOS 14 and later.
- Deprecation of non-OS update support – Updates for components like Safari, Xcode, and configuration data are no longer available.
By adopting Apple’s new APIs, patch management remains accurate, streamlined, and aligned with evolving enterprise needs.
