When businesses undergo digital transformation, one of the key factors that prompt them to do so is enterprise applications. Different businesses need a diverse range of applications that are curated to fit the business requirements. The ability to distribute enterprise apps across the organization helps in generating directed efficiency and optimum output. And while they are numerous public applications that can be customized to suit a business need, many organizations prefer having private applications to streamline their various business operations. These organizations get these applications tailor-made and are strictly available only for private distribution.

    Private Apps: Firms & Challenges

Distributing these enterprise applications on the entire device inventory used within an organization and keeping them up-to-date at all times is one of the prime IT concerns. The device inventory deployed for work in an organization can be diverse, company-owned, company-shared, unattended kiosk devices as well as employee-owned.

Managing enterprise devices with a reliable and secure Mobile Device Management solution such as Scalefusion helps drive a successful digital transformation that also adds to the business benefits. Scalefusion MDM can effectively manage Android, iOS, macOS and Windows devices deployed for work with diverse ownership models.

    Scalefusion Solution: Enterprise Application Management

With Scalefusion Application Management, IT admins can manage applications on all managed devices. Administrators can allow or block applications, choose and distribute Play for Work apps from the Play Store for Android enterprise devices and also remotely update applications on Android devices. For iOS devices, IT admins can choose and publish applications from the App Store and also update the apps remotely. For macOS devices, applications can be distributed only via VPP( Volume Purchase Program) through Scalefusion.

In addition to this functionality, Scalefusion enables IT admins to distribute private applications on managed Android and iOS devices. Scalefusion enterprise store enables app publishing as well as versioning to ensure that the app performs at its optimum best to drive enhanced user experiences for the end-user and business benefit for the organization.

    For iOS devices:

    • Administrators can upload the app using an IPA file
    • If the organization has self-hosted the IPA file on their servers and/or do not want to upload the IPA file to an external server, the apps can be published using the Plist link.
    • Admins can also publish these files on managed devices and automatically install apps.
