The Business Challenge

Magna has Android mobile devices installed as production devices in its huge manufacturing setup. Their first challenge was, different jobs in manufacturing unit, required different mobile applications and content on the Android devices. The second challenge was, that since a large section of the labour force worked in the whole unit, it was critical for them to ensure the safety and usage of each device. In order to ensure that, they wanted only one application installed on each device, for the supervisor and worker. And block all other unnecessary applications and irrelevant features to assure their right usage.

Since Magna has huge manufacturing units, monitoring each production device efficiently was a challenge. It was critical for them to have a centralized monitoring, controlling as well as the support system for all the devices in the entire unit.
